Disability , Equality and Diversity Awareness
As the leading voice of wheelchair dance and wheelchair dance sport, we provide training that will give your organisation the knowledge and tools it needs to reach out to the disability community, treat them equally and ensure they can take full advantage of what your organisation offers whether you are a dance school to a university or a dance community group.
Our training fully understands the need to protect your business, staff and disabled members; helping your staff to act and communicate confidently without discrimination can improve your services by making your organisation more accessible.
Disability equality awareness and diversity training is a vital part of business life. We help to remove the fear and ignorance often felt when meeting those with disabilities. There are about 10 million disabled people in Britain – one in five of the population. By 2030, 35% of the European population will include a disabled person or an aged person.
Equality is seeing the person before the disability and is the starting point to avoiding discrimination. Our disability, equality and diversity training is delivered to reveal not only the letter of the law but the intentions behind it. The training contains the right mix of awareness, equality, diversity, humour, role play and facts.
What our training packages offer
There are a number of easy steps your organisation can take to be more inclusive. Our training packages focus on the barriers that people face, offering practical ways to make it easier when visiting your premises or interacting with your staff. We specifically look at:
- working environments
- staff attitudes
- customer care
- accessible communications
We understand that every organisation has limited time and resources. That’s why all of our training is delivered by qualified instructors in a way that is efficient, relevant and engaging. Using real life stories and experiences, we have developed a range of workshops and tools that will not only inspire your staff to welcome people from the disability and other communities, but also give them the skills they need to do so.
All our training programmes can be delivered in a location suited to you and customised to meet your organisation’s needs.
